Charul’s journey in life has thus far been full of adventure and magical experiences.
After graduating from the Institute of Hotel Management, she left Mumbai at the young age of 21 and headed out to the colourful Caribbean Island, Curacao. She started her career in the hospitality industry with the Marriott Group. Charul soon realized that she wanted to shift gears and flow with the myriad of opportunities that laid in front of her. Her next stint was a super exciting role as an air hostess, with Jet Airways. While life was good flying to different countries every other day, Charul did not see much upward mobility, career-wise. While contemplating her next move, miraculously HR happened.
This was her true calling. Charul relocated to Canada and worked as Human Capital Director for the Indigo retail stores chain.
Her family in India wanted her closer to home and therefore Charul moved to Dubai and worked for over a decade in the HR field for global multinational brands. She was the Global Talent Head for the Palladium Group Inc for 4 good years.
In 2018 she experienced a shift and realization of following her passion, which is when she quit the corporate world and turned entrepreneur.
She navigated from corporate roles to creating her own business with only one purpose – “To ENABLE and EMPOWER”
Her famous quote (coined by her) – “All the wisdom, strength and guidance one seeks, lies within oneself”, is the cornerstone of all her work.
Her umbrella company, Matiti Group has a highly diversified set of portfolios: Matiti People (HR), Matiti Tech (Consulting), Matiti Green (Sustainability), Digital Wings Media (Collaboration), and Activity Network (Defense and Cyber).
Charul leads the HR and Green business segments and is extremely passionate about both these ventures. As an accomplished Senior HR Leader with extensive experience, she possesses a wide range of knowledge and talents that allows her to contribute toward the success of organizations across different sectors. Her expertise lies in successfully directing organizational planning and development through strategic initiatives.
Charul endorses Fearless and Purposeful Leadership and is an Unwavering Optimist.
She has traveled to over 35 countries, and has lived and worked in Canada, UK, India, Caribbean, and has been a happy and proud resident of the UAE for over 15 years. She is a yoga enthusiast, practices pranic healing, loves baking, reading, and taking long walks by the beach.
Charul is truly multitasking. She is on the ‘Advisory Board of World HRD Congress, Council Member of WICCI, Senior Member and Contributor with IWES, and Senior Assessor with Dubai Economic Department’.
She was recently recognized with the “Middle East Women Leader Award”, by the World Women Leadership Congress.
While Charul has been engaging in a meaningful project with her clients, she is currently also studying for a Ph.D. in Competitive Intelligence.
