In the latest 2021 edition of the luxury Michelin dining guide, 11 of the Canton of Vaud’s opulent dining establishments have been awarded one to three stars, in addition to an array of accolades. Canton de Vaud, the award-winning area of the Lake Geneva region in Switzerland, has become a global hub for some of the world’s finest chefs.

The world-renowned Hôtel de Ville de Crissier retains its place at the top of the rankings for the French-speaking part of Switzerland, with its three-star rating.

Two new Vaud establishments have also won their way into the prestigious guide, receiving their first star.

La Table du Lausanne Palace with its stunning view across Lausanne and Lake Geneva, has made its debut, and brasserie Les Ateliers in Vevey, a nod to the area’s industrial heritage with an essence of ‘home’, has been given the praise it deserves.

Placing the environment at its heart, a nod to the spectacular natural scenery it is set amongst, The Auberge de L’Abbaye de Montheron nearby Lausanne has been given a Michelin green star. It is an honour for Chef Rafael Rodriguez’s ‘all home-made’ approach which values the planet as much as it does its cuisine.

Eleven establishments throughout the historic Canton of Vaud, a unique destination offering a blend of natural seclusion and luxury, have been awarded a BIB Gourmand, including the Fleur de Sel in Cossonay. The BIB Gourmand is an acknowledgement of the restaurants offering exceptional value for money, offering a complete menu for a maximum of CHF70 (AED278).

The French speaking part of Switzerland is the ultimate location for an out of this world culinary experience.
