Procter & Gamble (P&G) in partnership with AbuDawood donates one million masks to the Saudi Health Endowment Fund as part of the efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19. The company’s far-reaching force for good initiatives are aimed at protecting everyday heroes, providing support for communities, relief agencies and their employees as part of its  P&G “Protect Our Heroes” relief missions.

Omar Channawi CEO P&GMiddle East, East and West Africa and General Exports Markets, said: “Our mission to step up and serve others as a force for good starts in the communities we operate in. We want to do our part to support the Saudi government’s ongoing effort to fight the pandemic. This donation of masks to the Saudi Health Endowment Fund will provide an important level of protection that will support those on the frontlines of this pandemic.”

A spokesperson from the Health Endowment Fund, said: “We are fortunate to be able to partner with P&G at this time. Together we have been able to support in providing the masks and maintain momentum in the fight against COVID. We commend the initiatives undertaken by many companies in cooperation with the Health Endowment Fund during this pandemic.”

P&G, in partnership with AbuDwood, expanded their manufacturing facility “Modern Products Company” in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia to produce Personal Protective (PPE) equipment for donation to frontline heroes in the region. More than 2 million masks and 250,000 hand sanitizers will be donated to frontline workers around the Middle East region. It is also donating products like Always, Fairy, Gillette, Safeguard to frontline relief workers and communities in need across the region.

Globally, P&G’s in-kind, product and monetary donations add up to tens of millions of dollars with more than 30 brands in more than 30 countries for over 200 relief organizations.
