MTVtoday confirmed that fierce female pop superstars Little Mix will host and perform ‘Sweet Melody’ from upcoming studio album ‘Confetti’ in the “2020 MTV EMAs” airing in 180 countries and territories.  The show will feature performances from the hottest artists and celebrate the power of music in 2020.  In Middle East,the show will be live exclusively on the “MTV LIVE HD” channel on Sunday, November 8th at 11:00 pm GST with the Red Carpet/Preshow starting at 10:00 pm GST. The show can later be viewed on the OSN Streaming Service.

MTV revealed Little Mix as the hosts of this year’s EMA by releasing an animated teaser featuring the band as cartoon superheroes. The animation was created in partnership with the production company Eddy/Blinkink and young French collective Potto and will be broadcast across MTV International regions.

This year we’ll also be performing our new single ‘Sweet Melody’, our second EMA performance. The show will go on and we can’t wait!”

Little Mix also nabbed four “2020 MTV EMA” nominations for “Best Pop” alongside BTS, DuaLipa, Harry Styles, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga, “Best Group” alongside 5 Seconds of Summer, BLACKPINK, BTS, Chloe x Halle and CNCO as well as a nomination for “Best Virtual Live” for “UNCancelled” and a “Best UK & Ireland Act” local act nomination joining artists Harry Styles, DuaLipa, Dave and Stormzy. Last year they won their 4th MTV EMA Award for “Best UK & Ireland Act” at the 2019 ceremony in Seville, Spain.

Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall have established themselves as the world’s biggest girl band having sold over 50 million records worldwide, collected over 17 million Spotify listeners, received over 3 billion YouTube views, and collated 12 billion streams worldwide. 2019 witnessed Little Mix win their second Brit Award – for Best British Video for ‘Woman Like Me’, and perform the same song live at the ceremony.  

In September, Little Mix launched a brand-new TV series for BBC One, Little Mix The Search. Additionally, they announced ‘Confetti’, a massive UK and Ireland Arena Tour for 2021. The tour will see Little Mix perform songs from their brand new upcoming album ‘Confetti’, due for release on November 6th, such as the 2020 smash hit ‘Holiday’, written by Jade, Perrie and Leigh-Anne with Kamille and produced by Goldfingers and ‘Break Up Song’, that has so far been streamed 60 million times becoming their 15th UK Official Charts Top 10 hit with 300k UK sales. Additionally, the tour will include some of their greatest hits including ‘Touch’, ‘ Woman Like Me’, ‘Black Magic’ and ‘Shout Out To My Ex’.

PERFORMERS:

The British pop quartet sensations, who will shoot in London, join previously announced performers Sam Smith, Maluma, Doja Cat, YUNGBLUD and Zara Larsson. Additional performers and presenters to be announced.

NOMINEES:

MTV recently announced nominations for the “2020 MTV EMAs.” Lady Gaga is in the lead with seven nods, including “Best Artist,” “Best Pop,” and “Best Video” for her duet with Ariana Grande, “Rain On Me,” which also secured a position in the “Best Song” and “Best Collaboration” categories. BTS and Justin Bieber each received five nods, within categories including “Biggest Fans” and “Best Pop.”The full “2020 MTV EMA” nominee list is available here.

The MTV EMAs will be unlike any other as this celebration of global music is shot from multiple locations, including Hungary for the first time ever, and London.  Fans will get an inside look at four iconic locations around the vibrant country of Hungary, the official partner of the “2020 MTV EMAs.”
