ThingLogix has partnered with du, Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC), to showcase robotic technology with a demonstration of autonomous mobile robots. Featuring at GITEX Technology Week 2019, the du Robot demo showcases Artificial Intelligence, Chatbot technology, voice command, and computer vision technology.

The du Robot demo is fully integrated with Foundry, the ThingLogix cloud platform, which simplifies, accelerates, and optimizes the development, deployment, and operation of IoT solutions architected on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The showcased du Robot leverages AWS artificial intelligence and machine learning services such as Amazon Kinesis and Amazon Rekognition for computer vision, Amazon Lex and Amazon Polly for voice command, and Amazon CloudWatch for monitoring and logging data.

Innovation in robotic technology today is providing solutions across numerous industries, examples include freeing people from tasks that are dangerous or physically difficult, providing automated harvesters for farmers, transporting heavy goods in warehouses, and benefiting the medical industry with advancements in assisted surgical robotics, to name a few.

“Leading robotic solutions require robust technology partners, which is why du is proud to be collaborating with ThinkLogix to enable a new frontier for autonomous robot applications. Robotic technology is advancing at a rapid pace, and the arrival of dynamic 5G networks like du’s will provide the foundation to transform all industry verticals,” said Saleem Alblooshi, CTO, EITC. “With advanced robotic technology and the power of our leading network capabilities, Enterprises and Individuals can now use connected smart robots to enhance their connected ecosystems every day,” Alblooshi added.

Faisal Aljundi,Managing Director, ThingLogix stated “AI and robotics have started to become mainstream into offices as proven effective tool to increase work productivity, added the integration of voice, automation and reinforcement learning will just accelerate this process. We are expecting robotics technology will create thousands of high skill jobs in the region.. ThingLogix can help developers accelerate and improve the IQ of their Robots”.
