Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) and RAK Hospital announce a partnership to provide free PCR (Polymerase chain reaction) testingto international visitors staying in and departing from Ras Al Khaimah until 31 December, 2020. Subsidized by RAKTDA, the free PCR test is available for international visitors to avail either at RAK Hospital, one of the UAE\u2019s most renowned private hospitals or RAK Medical Centre in Al Hamra Mall.<\/p>
The partnership marks the Emirate as the first global destination to provide PCR testing free of charge for its international guests and visitors. Earlier in the year, Ras Al Khaimah became the first city in the world to be certified as safe by Bureau Veritas<\/strong>, the global leader in testing, inspection and certification and the first Emirate to receive the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC)<\/strong> Safe Travels Stamp, due to extensive hygiene and security measures in place atits hotels and attractions. This recognition was quickly followed byfree COVID-19 PCR testing for hospitality staff across the Emirate\u2019s hotels.All these efforts align with the Emirate\u2019s recovery plans, including far reaching support initiatives aimed athospitality partners and stringent safety measures implemented to safeguard guests and residents, which in turn, have led to green shoots of recovery for its tourism industry.<\/p> \u201cIt is with great pleasure that we announce the complementary test for international visitors, as this effort will put in place an added element of safety – both for the guests staying within our properties, as well as our hospitality providers and their staff. The upcoming projects on UAE\u2019s highest mountain will join the existing attractions including Jais Adventure Peak<\/strong> which serves a gateway to the various attractions on the iconic mountain, including the World\u2019s Longest Zipline and1484<\/strong> by Puro- the highest restaurant in the UAE.
