Born Norma Jeane Mortenson on 1 June 1926, Marilyn rose from humble beginnings to become one of Hollywood\u2019s brightest stars. Beyond her celebrated career as an actress and singer, she also broke new ground as one of the first women in Hollywood to establish her own production company, Marilyn Monroe Productions, cementing her legacy as a pioneering businesswoman as well as an entertainment icon.<\/p>\n
