Jordan’s Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship (MODEE) has signed an MoU with SITA, the global IT provider for the air transport industry, to support the employment of new graduates in Jordan.
The agreement aligns with MODEE’s training and employment program that aims to secure jobs for young graduates specializing in IT and Telecommunications.The partnership is also in line with SITA’s vision to expand its Amman officeand grow its global operations team. Currently 68 IT experts support over 300 airports and airlines across the world from the SITA Support Centrebased in the city.
“This partnership will aid our ongoing efforts to provide jobs opportunities to young graduates in Jordan with leading international companies while simultaneously reducing the unemployment rates in the country,” said HE Mothanna Gharaibeh, Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship.
Hani El-Assaad, SITA President for Middle East, India and Africa, said: “We are delighted to partner with Jordan’s Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship and further their agenda of equipping young Jordanian talent with the skills and experience they need for a bright future.”
The government will provide successful applicants with a variety of government incentives.
