The Arctic has now reached the center of geopolitics, creating strong implications for security and global business competition. Asian powers play an increasingly dominant role in the region at a times of turbulence amongst Arctic Council member states.

This 14th Arctic Circle Forum is the first major international Arctic event since the new U.S. Administration took office, signaling a pivotal moment in global Arctic diplomacy.

In his first official address to the international community, the incoming Arctic Council Chair — the distinguished Greenlandic Ambassador, Kenneth Høegh — will outline the Kingdom of Denmark’s direction for its upcoming chairmanship. The Indian Minister of External Affairs, H.E. S. Jaishankar – a global diplomatic celebrity – will also play an active role in the dialogue.

In these critical times, India is set to host its first international Arctic event, the Arctic Circle India Forum, beginning tomorrow in New Delhi. Organized by Arctic Circle, the largest and most dynamic international platform on Arctic Affairs, alongside India’s Observer Research Foundation, the country’s leading policy organisation.

This landmark Forum is also in collaboration with the Indian Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Earth Sciences, a bold step in fostering Arctic cooperation and advancing India’s Arctic Policy.

This historic gathering marks a major milestone in Asia’s engagement with polar affairs. The Arctic Circle India Forum will focus on Asia’s growing role in Arctic affairs, featuring 80 speakers from 16 countries across 30 thought-provoking sessions!

The extensive Plenary Program will be live-streamed on the Observer Research Foundation website. The entire program can be found at www.arcticcircle.org
