The German National Tourist Board (GNTB) will lead a country-wide delegation of tourism industry representatives to discuss inbound recovery plans post COVID-19 during the 47thGTM Germany Travel MartTM 2021, taking place later this month.

The virtual event organised by GNTB in partnership with the Federal State of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern will see a schedule of seminars between 27th– 29th April. As the largest tourism B2B event promoting Germany as a travel destination, it sets to highlight the best products and services across its tourism sector.

More than 250 German providers from top trade professionals including hotels, tour operators, transport, and local and regional tourist offices will join the online event, which is expected to attract over 480 international buyers from travel agencies and online travel companies. The event will serve as a platform to share trade knowledge and industry experience during these unprecedented times.

“Alongside our partners we have been working closely with the travel trade community throughout the pandemic, and GTM Germany Travel MartTM2021 serves to provide additional information to attendees about offerings across the country, while reassuring traveller confidence with the various safety measures that have been put in place,” Yamina Sofo, Director Sales & Marketing, German National Tourist Office (GNTO), the regional office of GNTB, said.

“Now in its 47th edition, GTM Germany Travel MartTM 2021 serves as a networking platform between around 800 key participants from across international industry suppliers, this digital addition will ensure another successful year of introducing innovative ideas to the tourism industry.”

Strategic global partners will also lead extensive workshops and panel sessions on sustainability and how one of Germany’s top priorities is diversifying options of production to be well equipped for climate change. The interest of global participants demonstrates Germany’s awareness of sustainability and confirms the need for more development of market-specific eco-friendly options.

To kick proceedings off, and welcome GCC delegates to the event, Yamina Sofo will host a virtual meeting at 11:40am (GST) on 27April. Later in the GTM schedule, Yamina will return to host a GCC Market Insights Webinar at 1pm (GST) on 29 April. It will serve to provide open discussions for new international safety measures and trends across the region.In addition to the live sessions between suppliers and buyers, the German National Tourist Board will launch webinars and on-demand content for those interested in participating.
