Delivering future skills for the UAE’s digital economy, PwC’s Academy has partnered with globally recognised professional body Certnexus to launch the highly prestigious Artificial Intelligence (AI) qualification in the region. Aiming to bridge a widening skills gap, the Certified Artificial Intelligence Practitioner (CAIP), will equip local talent with the knowledge and skills for practical application of AI in the workplace.
The AI industry is expected to make up to 14% of the UAE’s GDP by 2030, and many businesses are already facing the challenge of relevant expertise and skills within their teams to translate business needs into AI applications. More than 70% of the region’s CEOs regard the availability of key skills as a business threat.
Launching in November 2020, the two week accredited CAIP qualification will be delivered by leading industry professionals in both face-to-face and virtual learning environments to suit the varied learning needs of participants. The course will provide solutions to business problems using artificial intelligence and machine learning, and demonstrate how to plan, build and apply a machine learning model.
Amanda Line, PwC Partner and PwC’s Academy Leader said: “The digital workplace is no longer an option – it is today’s reality. Our role at PwC’s Academy is to deliver the necessary tools to ensure an upskilled and qualified regional workforce. We are pleased to partner with Certnexus to bring a global standard of certification to the region. Being digitally fit inspires confidence, agility and leadership for the future, today.”
Jeff Felice, President of CertNexus, and Semih Kumluk, PwC’s Academy Digital training expert will be holding an information session on AI and the CAIP qualification on 29 September 2020.
