“The amount of data created in a manufacturing facility today is unprecedented, and there’s a great deal of hype in the marketplace over how analytics can turn this data into performance gains,” said Peter Zornio, chief technology officer at Emerson’s Automation Solutions business.

With more than 900 analytics software suppliers in the market today, users are overwhelmed with options.
