If you thought the download speed you have on your phone is fast enough, then you are in for a surprise. Thanks to 5G connection, you can now download sizeable HD movies in a few seconds. 5G will not only make our smartphones better, but it will also usher in new immersive experiences, such as VR and AR, with faster data rates and lower latency.

While this has urged smartphone manufacturers to develop their own 5G powered devices, Huawei took one step ahead and brought in flagship features that help it dominate the 5G market with products like the Huawei 5G CPE Pro and the HUAWEI Mate20 X 5G which will be launched in Saudi market this July.

Huawei will launch in beginning of July a router which is the HUAWEI 5G CPE Pro which utilizes its proprietary Balong 5000—the world’s first 5G multimode modem chipset. The power of the chipset enables the router to be the first to support commercial application of 4G and 5G dual-modes. It is the first to have the capacity to perform to industry benchmarks of peak 1.6Gbps@100MHz download speeds – at Sub 6GHz. Should the 5G coverage not be strong enough, the dual-mode elements will allow for the device to default to 4G.

In parallel, and to enjoy the vast goodies a 5G network brings, you would need a 5G-supported phone. In this regard, Huawei is planning to launch its much-anticipated smartphone the HUAWEI Mate20 X 5G which supports 5G networks in Saudi during July, to provide consumers a totally new level of performance and speed relying on wide innovative 5G technologies, and this device will be the first smartphone to support the 5G from Huawei to be available to consumers in Saudi Arabia.

It is worth mentioning that Huawei had commenced investing in 5G had begun as early as 2009, and has been able to focus on developing 5G powered devices, chipsets and networks. By establishing more than 10 5G R&D centers, Huawei was able to jump start development in the 5G sector, creating a powerful name for itself in the market.

Today, more than thousands of employees are engaged in 5G product development. Huawei has won 50 commercial 5G contracts globally. Large-scale rollout has been started since 2018 and the GCC countries are in the 1st wave of 5G rollout.
